Branding & Logos in Illustrator & Photoshop

A brand is only as good as the visibility of its logo.

You need to not only communicate what your business is, but also what separates you from the competition.

An avalanche is defined as a rapid flow of snow down a slope, and Avalanche Media is a rapid flow of breaking news down the algorithm. You’ll notice the “A” and “M” that make up the snow atop the mountains in the logo, and the color choice representing a cool, but bold, organization.

Every choice and decision is meticulous, and you’ll need someone to account for every detail in your business.

Presentation & Advertisement in PowerPoint

Whether you’re an individual artist or a small business, the most important tool you have at your disposal is presentation.

My goal as a Graphic Designer is to create a strong, memorable presentation that represents your brand identity and conveys a direct message to your potential clients or customers.

This Nike mockup presentation focuses on a shoe release in 3 stylistic colors, utilizing photo assets produced by Nike with additional effects like drop shadows and morph transitions to create a seamless loop. A total production time of 2 hours was required to produce this work.

This presentation focuses on the moon in an academic/educational context. The presentation utilizes a 3D model of the moon and morph transitions to give the illusion of movement through space.

This took around 30 minutes to produce, including the gathering of assets and layout plan.

YouTube Thumbnail Designs in Photoshop

A blue presentation slide with guidelines for creating effective video thumbnails. It features a small thumbnail image of a video game overlay, showing a dark background with characters from Final Fantasy VII, a music note icon on the top left, and the FF7 Overworld Theme label. The slide includes arrows pointing to the thumbnail, explaining the placement of icons and branding for recognition.

In 2024, I was tasked by online music composer Cory Lawrence (otherwise known by his social media handle @EverythingFantasy on YouTube) with creating a design format for all of the thumbnail images used for the YouTube videos that he produces on his personal channel.

I begun this task by researching other channels similar to his, and seeing what common denominators led to those channels success in views. I highlighted what I considered to be multiple important features of their thumbnail structures and brought my report back to Cory with a design draft of exactly how he should assemble thumbnails for videos going forward.

A digital graphic of a YouTube channel homepage mockup with new thumbnails, featuring a blue background and white text that explains the purpose of scrolling through content. The right side shows a section of a YouTube channel with three video thumbnails, including titles like "CORE - Undertale Orchestral Remix," "FF7 Overworld Theme - Orchestral Arrangement," and "How to Make Danganronpa Music."

The design format I drafted contains all of the elements combined in a contextualized example of how the thumbnail would look for a specific video. The science of thumbnail design can play a significant role in click-thru rate and whether or not the algorithm will push the videos to the Recommended tab of YouTube for users.

The goal of this new thumbnail format would be to generate a measurable increase in both impressions and view counts on the videos newly uploaded. I would provide Cory with the Photoshop file template to use for future thumbnails that he’d create using my documentation, and observe the results over a 6-month period of this new thumbnail format being utilized.

Cory saw significant growth on his YouTube channel in relation to this new thumbnail design. In only the first half of 2024, he achieved a higher impression rate than throughout the entirety of 2023. This design format has also allowed him to focus less on the thumbnails for his videos and more on the actual content of said videos.

As of 2025, the @EverythingFantasy YouTube channel has doubled in both video and subscriber count. The account’s overall views has surpassed 3 million.
